The recruitment is conducted by the Leh Autonomous Hill Development – Subordinate Services Recruitment Board (LAHD-SSRB), under the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh, for various departments.

Age Limit
The age limit for these posts is 18 to 40 years as on the cut-off date 01-01-2026. This means candidates must have been born not earlier than 01-01-1986 and not later than 01-01-2008. Upper age relaxation as per the notification is given below.

Selection Process
- Selection will be made through a CBT / TBT / OMR based examination with objective type multiple choice questions, as decided by LAHD-SSRB.
- The exam has four parts: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. Each part has 25 questions.
- The total duration of the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes (2 hours for candidates eligible for a scribe). The medium of the exam is English.
- There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer (maximum 1 mark per question).
- The Board has prescribed minimum qualifying marks of 20% of the total marks. Candidates scoring less than this will not be considered for Document Verification.
- Candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for Document Verification in the ratio of 1:20 for up to 5 vacancies, and 1:10 for more than 5 vacancies (subject to minimum 100), based on their exam score and merit. This ratio may change depending on departmental requirements.
- A skill test, such as a Physical Efficiency Test, will be conducted where it is prescribed in the essential qualification. It will be of a qualifying nature. For Junior Assistant, a computer typing test of not less than 35 words per minute is required.
- Shortlisted candidates must appear for Document Verification in the Office of LAHD-SSRB.
- In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate is placed higher, followed by a higher percentage in basic qualification, a higher qualification acquired and alphabetical order of name.
- Examination centres will be set up in Leh, Changthang, Nubra and Sham District Headquarters only.
- Offer of appointment will be issued by the concerned department, subject to satisfying all eligibility criteria including antecedents and character.

- Admit card and original valid photo ID (such as Aadhaar Card / e-Aadhaar printout, Driving License, Voter Card, PAN Card or other photo ID card as listed in the notice) for the examination
- Two recent passport size colour photographs for the examination
- Self-attested copies of supporting documents and original certificates at the time of Document Verification

Application Fee
The application fee is Rs 200. It is non-refundable and non-transferable. The fee must be paid online through credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI, and bank charges are to be borne by the candidate.
